PROPER Function in Excel

What is the use of PROPER function?

PROPER Function in Excel returns the first letter in a text string or cell references of every word as a capital letter and all other letters in the string are converted to lowercase.

Any characters that are not text will not altered.

What is the syntax of PROPER function?

PROPER(text)
Where text : The text string you want to change.
